Icon Steel, LLC (“Icon Steel”, “we”, “us”) is a commercial structural steel and miscellaneous metals subcontractor in Marana, Arizona. This policy explains what this website collects, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers iconsteelco.com only. It does not cover information you give us by phone, email or on a job site, although we handle that the same way.

Collected automatically

Our web server records the usual technical details of a visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, the time, and the page you came from. These logs exist so the site can run and stay secure, and we do not need your consent for them.

Separately, and only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, how people arrive, roughly where in the world they are, and what device they are on. Google Analytics is configured to collect this as aggregate reporting about the website. If you decline analytics cookies, none of it is collected and the site works exactly the same. See our Cookie Policy.

What we do not want. Please do not send social security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, bank or card details, or health information through this website. We do not ask for any of it and we have no use for it. If you send it anyway we will delete it.

3. Why we use it

  • To price the work you have asked us to quote, and to ask you questions about it
  • To answer general enquiries
  • To consider you for a job and to contact you about it
  • To keep a record of what was asked for, quoted and agreed
  • To keep the website running, secure and free of spam
  • To meet our legal, insurance and licensing obligations

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you. We will not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.

4. Who else sees it

  • Our web host, which stores the website and its database on servers in the United States.
  • Microsoft 365, which delivers form submissions to our estimating inbox.
  • Google, which processes website usage data through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, but only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
  • CookieYes, which runs the cookie consent banner and records the choice you made, so we can show that consent was given.
  • Suppliers and subcontractors on your project, where pricing or building the work requires it — a detailer, a galvanizer, a crane service.
  • Our professional advisers and insurers, if a project or a claim requires it.
  • Law enforcement, regulators or a court, where we are legally required to provide it.

Anyone handling information on our behalf may use it only to provide that service to us.

5. Drawings and project documents

Documents you send through the quote form are used to price and deliver the work, and for nothing else. We treat them as confidential. We do not publish them, sell them, or pass them to anyone outside Icon Steel and the suppliers and subcontractors working on the same project.

If your drawings carry a confidentiality notice, or you have a non-disclosure agreement you need us to sign, tell us when you send them rather than afterwards. See also our Terms of Use.

6. How long we keep it

  • Quote requests and project documents — for the life of the project and for as long afterwards as our records, insurance and Arizona contracting requirements call for. Bids we did not win are kept for up to three years so we can refer back to what we priced.
  • General enquiries — up to two years.
  • Job applications — up to one year, so we can come back to you when a role opens. Tell us if you would rather we did not keep it.
  • Server logs — for the period our host retains them, typically a few weeks.
  • Analytics data — retained by Google Analytics for the period set in that account, and the record of your cookie choice for up to one year, after which the banner asks again.

7. How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Uploads are limited by size and to a fixed list of file types. Form submissions are filtered for spam before they reach us. Access to submissions is limited to the people at Icon Steel who need them, and the site’s administrative area requires a password and limits repeated failed log-in attempts.

No website can be promised to be completely secure. If a security incident affects unencrypted personal information about Arizona residents, we will notify those affected as required by Arizona law (A.R.S. § 18-552).

8. What you can ask us to do

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it where we are not required to keep it, or stop contacting you. Email haley@iconsteelco.com or write to us at the address above. We may need to check who you are before we act, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

9. California residents

We are an Arizona steel subcontractor working a regional market. We do not sell or share personal information as the California Consumer Privacy Act uses those terms, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. If you are a California resident and want to know what we hold about you, use the contact details above.

10. Children

This site is aimed at general contractors, developers, architects and people looking for work in the trade. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Cookies and consent

When you first arrive you are asked whether to accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Analytics runs only if you accept. You can change your answer at any time — the Cookie Policy explains how, and lists every cookie the site sets.

12. Other websites

This site links to other places — a map, a file-sharing service, industry associations. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site, under their policy, not ours.

13. Changes

We may update this policy as the site or the business changes. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we handle what you have already sent us, we will say so on this page.

14. Contact

Questions about this policy go to haley@iconsteelco.com, or Icon Steel, LLC, 8365 W Tangerine Rd, Marana, AZ 85658.
