Support steel for critical equipment
Icon Steel fabricates and delivers structural steel platforms, support skids and access steel for generators, chillers, transformers, switchgear and rooftop mechanical units on commercial and industrial projects, and installs them where that is in our scope. We work from the engineered drawings and equipment data for the project, and coordinate dimensions, loads and connection points with the mechanical, electrical and equipment vendors before fabrication.
Icon Steel is not the engineer of record. Platform and support design comes from the project’s engineer or a licensed engineer engaged for that purpose.

Part of a bigger package?
Equipment supports, mezzanines and platforms are often one line item inside a larger structural steel package. We handle both on the same job, with one set of shop drawings. If the platform is small and the schedule is short, Fast Track is the faster path.

Most of what Icon Steel does is Arizona work. Equipment platforms are the exception. They’re shop-built, finished and prepared for shipping before they leave, so a platform going to a data center campus out of state gets the same detailing, fabrication and quality control as one going across Tucson.
Whether it’s a single rooftop chiller or a full generator yard, the same shop drawings, fabrication and quality control process applies from shop to site.
